I am a life long learner and enjoy reading and investigating new subjects and ideas. I have an undergraduate degree in Physics from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee (BS, Physics) and two Master's degrees. The first, in Health Physics is from Georgia Tech (The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta) (MSHP, Health Physics) and the other is from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Library Science, (MS, Information Sciences).
Experience
I have several years of classroom experience in high school and middle school science and math and small group and individual tutoring experience in math, adult education GED test prep, and English for speakers of other languages. I have a passion for understanding the learning styles of my students and for finding the best ways to help them achieve their highest levels of comprehension, learning, and retention.

In addition to reading and enjoying great movies, plays, and music I love to spend time outside and explore the beautiful nature around us in the Southwest. I enjoy the benefits of technology and avidly use my computer and the Internet for research to expand my educational horizons and knowledge. I enjoy quality time with friends and family and my three cats and two dogs.
