Hi! I am a writer turned scientist. Although my natural bent is towards literature and writing, a great teacher when I was 17 helped me understand science for the first time. Because science was hard for me, I understand what many students are going through. It was what I was going through before I met that teacher in college. My goal is to be that teacher for your student and explain science in clear terms to them that they understand. I also love giving writing help and working with young children! I have worked as a babysitter, au pair in France, and a volunteer in the hospital pediatric unit so I am clearly drawn to children. Of course, I like to do things other than study: cooking, traveling, debating, working out (pilates, anyone?), and long discussions with friends are my favorite ways to enjoy life. And adventures-I am that weird person that calls a trip to the store an "adventure". I believe that homework, memorization, and practice are great ways to really learn concepts, especially in science. Be prepared, then, to take our lessons seriously.
