Experience
My interest in science started when I was in college when I was preparing for a career in the health field. My undergraduate research was in organometallics and I presented my research at the ACS National Convention, in Denver, in 1993. I worked part-time as a chemistry tutor in my senior year. When I graduated from college I worked in private industry as a chemist in the fields of radiochemistry and in the field of organic analysis. In 2000, I obtained my teacher licensed and taught science for both New Mexico and Florida--teaching chemistry, physics, biology, and environmental science. In 2007, I worked for Central New Mexico Community College, as a part-time chemistry and biology tutor, while continuing my graduate education in biomedical sciences, at the University of New Mexico. My research interest are medical immunology, biochemistry, and toxicology.
