Experience
I recently graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Washington State University. During my time there, I completed a bachelor's degree in Physics. Since completing my degree, I am now focusing on preparing for the GRE exam in Physics and applying for a graduate school program in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Science is a fascinating and exciting subject, however, I acknowledge that it can be very difficult for many people. For this reason, I love tutoring in the math and science fields. With a little bit of help, effort, and focus, the world of science can become more accessible to everyone. It is my goal to equip students with the right tools to understand scientific and mathematical principles so they can appreciate this subject instead of fearing or dreading it. Too often, science and math lessons can seem very dry, and this can be a large reason why students tend to disengage from these topics. In my lessons, I attempt to come at these topics from a more creative angle, making them more tangible and interactive for students. I love collaborating with students one-on-one in order to make science and math education more team-oriented, just like how scientists in the field cooperate with one another to achieve success.Other things I enjoy other than science and education include skiing, astronomy, reading, and a good salted caramel.
