I hold a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Biomedical Engineering that I earned at Purdue University. I also attended graduate school, concentrating on Physiology and Biophysics, at Georgetown University. I have about eight years of experience tutoring, and I have tutored privately and worked for several tutor agencies. I begin tutoring each student by finding out what their personal strengths and weaknesses are to form a teaching plan tailored to their individual needs. I then personalize my teaching style to help my students master tough material while also having fun. I like building a rapport with students, and I am a very kind and approachable person. I have tutored in Algebra I and II, high school and college Physics, high school and college Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Biochemistry, General Biology, and Physiology. I also specialize in preparing students for tests, including the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. In addition, I have helped students in the IB program and AP classes master their studies. I have also trained many employees at work, which is where I further hone my teaching skills. I am currently employed as an Environmental Analytical Chemist, and I am the QA/QC Director of my company. We study soil samples to detect environmental pollutants and prevent them from entering the air and water. In my free time, I love spending time with my two-year-old grandson and my daughter. I am working on teaching him Physics by helping him create masterpieces with Legos.
