Education
I have been teaching and tutoring for 16 years in the fields of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American cultures, History and Politics. I hold a Ph.D. in Latin American Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Specialization on Medieval Iberian Studies from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain and a BA in Linguistics and Literature from the Universidad Nacional de Tucuman, Argentina. I have experience teaching a wide range of age and social groups, and I am familiarized with new pedagogical and technological tools to help students learn.
Experience
I have worked as a College professor, researcher, instructor, and director of programs at universities and schools in the US and abroad for 16 years. I have taught hundreds of students and I have always received great feed back from them. I also work as an editor and translator (Spanish – Portuguese – English). I have published books and articles on literary translation, comparative cultural studies, and social studies. I am qualified to work as a tutor teaching foreign languages and Latin American studies. My classes are engaging, not only because I use a variety of materials and sources but also because my most important goal is that the student learn and love what I teach.
