Experience
One of the most important parts of teaching is identifying the student's strengths and also their areas of weakness, and trying to harness the skills they already have in order to work on the skills they need to improve. After 20 years of teaching experience, I have become quite proficient at assessing a student's capabilities, enabling me to teach with efficient techniques catered to each individual student. I hold teaching licenses in multiple states, and I have worked as a high school teacher, an instructor for adult education, and as an elementary school educator. Additionally, I have many years of experience as a private tutor. I am able to teach students of all ages in a wide range of subjects, including Math, Writing, English, Reading, Grammar, and Mechanics. Additionally, I have ample experience in teaching ESL to adult students. One of my specialties is helping my students to prepare for standardized tests like the GED, and I have had great success in helping my students to score highly. I have won awards within educational institutions, including "Employee of the Month" at my most recent teaching position. This award is given to the teachers who show the most dedication. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, dancing, and going to museums.
