Private tutor in Albuquerque, NM
University of New Mexico-Main Campus - Current Undergrad, Biology
With more than six years of tutoring experience, there's nothing that I love more than helping people improve their academic skills and overcome their challenges in the classroom. I'm currently a student at the University of New Mexico, where I'm working towards my bachelor's degree in biology, while also focusing on health and other sciences. Along with tutoring biology, I also have experience helping students with their English, math, chemistry, physics, Spanish, and psychology. I believe that there's no such thing as a bad student, and that everyone has the capacity to learn and excel in the classroom when properly motivated. For this reason, I like to develop a professional relationship with my students so that I'm able to teach them in a way that best accommodates their learning style. I understand that no two people learn the same way, which is why I like to include a wide range of activities, games, and exercises that allow students to move around and benefit from a hands-on learning experience. Ultimately, I feel that a good tutor is someone who adapts their curriculum to suit the needs of the individual. When I'm not working in education, I like to spend my time cycling, snowboarding, and playing the piano.
