I have always been passionate about learning. It is a passion that began as a youngster and only continued through my academic career. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho Cum Laude in 2010 with my Bachelors of Arts in English with a minor in creative writing. During the last two years before graduation, I served as a teacher's assistant in advanced English grammar, history of the English language, and literature classes. I spent a semester as the head teacher's assistant of the English department and received the Larry Thompson Outstanding English Major award. In addition, I spoke for the Language and Letters Department's Convocation ceremony. Postgraduation, I went to Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, on missionary. I learned fluent Portuguese while teaching about my church. The experience showed me that I loved tutoring. I began teaching English at Brigham Young University-Idaho. When I got married and started my family, I quit teaching. However, it is impossible to deny the draw of education. I still love to tutor others. I can offer guidance in public speaking, AP US history, and study and organizational skills, among other subjects. Outside of tutoring, I love to read and write. I enjoy watching history programs and going on walks with my family.
