I am a standardized test prep tutor and my favorite test to tutor for is the ACT. My tutoring style includes adapting my teaching methods to every individual student I work with. I take the time to get to know their strengths and weaknesses, then I create a custom learning plan that suits their individual needs. I am also great at helping pupils reduce their stress by organizing their studying and teaching them time management. I fully believe that if we work together, those test scores will go up drastically. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Grinnell College in Iowa. I spent a year in Spokane, Washington, where I worked with homeless individuals. Now I am back in Albuquerque and ready to help as many students here as I can. I don't only tutor, I also work for an after school program called Children's Choice and I am also hoping to begin earning my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology very soon. My experience tutoring will contribute greatly to my dream of becoming a therapist. When I am not tutoring, you will find me doing yoga, reading, and playing board games.
