Throughout my entire life, I've always been fascinated with human behavior. I love learning about why people make the decision that they do, and how we can use this information to help people overcome their different challenges in life. I've spent a lot of my time working in service positions, including volunteering for anti-drug programs in the community. I believe that the best way to help someone is to first connect with them on the individual level, so that you're able to learn more about what makes them tick. After having a better idea of a person's wants, needs, and what drives them to succeed, I then come up with a way to help them meet all of their goals. I attended the University of New Mexico and received a bachelor's degree in history. While I was a student, I also worked as a tutor and helped a number of my peers improve their understanding of various classroom materials. I believe that an effective teacher does more than just drills information - they also teach people practical knowledge that they can use to help them throughout their lives. For this reason, along with classroom content, I like to teach the importance of good study habits and critical thinking skills when I'm tutoring.
