At the moment, I am a graduate student enrolled at the University of New Mexico where I'm working as a teaching assistant. Along with helping college-level students with their coursework, I've also worked as a teacher in the middle and high school setting where I tutored underprivileged students in Mississippi and Tennessee. Additionally, I also worked in the adult education department at my local community college. I have an extensive background in education that has given me the opportunity to work with people of all ages, proficiency levels, and walks of life. I find that there's nothing better than helping someone gain the skills needed to reach their goals in the classroom as well as out in the world. For this reason, I love teaching reading and mathematics. Both of these subjects are things that I enjoy learning about, which is why I'm thrilled to share my passion with anyone who's interested in learning. In addition, I also teach a number of life skills courses that help students learn how to think critically, improve their reading and writing, master public speaking, and prepare for college entrance exams. I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee - Martin, and when I'm not working in education, I like reading books and watching movies.
